Rapoport believes that since building a house is a cultural phenomenon, its physical form and spatial organization are strongly influenced by the cultural environment to which it belongs.
In his studies, Rapoport selects numerous adjacent and similar microclimates to examine the influence of cultural components on the form of the house.
According to him, a house is more of an institution with a multidimensional function than just a physical structure. Since building a house is a cultural activity, its form and organization are inevitably influenced by the culture that produced it.
